Trainings for national councils of national minorities on the organizational and financial management, which were held in Novi Sad, Subotica and Kragujevac, were attended by representatives of 24 national councils. The aim of the trainings is to enable representatives of the national councils of national minorities to improve their daily functioning by providing the necessary knowledge and practical ways to perform their daily tasks and competencies and to improve understanding of financial regulations related to the functioning of national councils. Participants are also given materials that will benefit them in the day-to-day work, provide them with practical information and recommendations for fundraising through projects, but also clarify expenditure management and financial reporting.
The trainings were implemented as part of the "Facility Supporting Strengthening Rule of Law in Serbia" jointly funded by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ), implemented by GIZ and the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, with the expert support from the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI).
